Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
4 cups Whole Wheat Flour sifted
0.5 tsp baking soda
4 tsp baking powder
0.75 tsp salt
2-3 tsp ginger
0.5 cups pecan pieces
Wet Ingredients
0.25 cups vegetable oil
0.33 cups molasses
2.5 cups skim milk

Molasses Pecan Savoury Biscuits

Biscuit to eat with dinner, or topped with cheese and homemade preserves.

Directions

Adapted from a colonial recipe, this simple drop biscuit takes only 11 minutes to bake. Delicious served alongside dinner, or topped with cheese and homemade preserves.

Dry Ingredients

Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix to combine.

Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, combine all wet ingredients. Mix to combine, and add in dry. I used a stand mixer because it's sticky.

Drop by Tablespoon (optional, sprinkle with organic cane sugar - as shown in the photo).
