For those of us who prefer to make our own and leave out the perservatives:

  • 6-8 cups of cooked macaroni
  • 3 Tbs butter or margarine
  • 2 cups skim milk
  • 1 cup each: marble and sharp chddar cheese, shredded
  • handful of bread crumbs

This is very simple to make:

  1. Cook macaroni
  2. Make roux with the butter and flour over medium heat
  3. Add milk and simmer until thickened
  4. Add cheese and macaroni in greased casserole dish
  5. Top with breadcrumbs and meted butter. Bake for 30 min for 350F
