Rosehip tea with Cranberry juice
I decided to try a new tea this week. Rose hips are high in vitamin C. This one you mix with Cranberry juice – apparently their flavours are quite similar, tangy and tart. My local health food store, Goodness Me, sells Celebration Herbals in bags or bulk.
- 1 Tbs rosehips (dried)
- 3¾ L filtered water, just off the boil
- ¼ cup pure (unsweetened) cranberry juice
Let steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain and add the cranberry juice. You can drink it hot or cold.
This recipe calls for approx 4L of boiling water, which I stored in a glass mason jar and let cool before drinking (so I could handle the glass safely).
Note that many recipes call for 1 Tbs per large mug of tea; this is a weak tea but the cranberry juice boosts the flavour and colour.
