Can’t stand the cold …
“If you can’t stand the cold, come into the kitchen”
Best expression I’ve heard in ages! Especially with this horrible cold weather. The few days it was warm, I was too sick to go for a walk. I love being bundled up in winter and going for a walk; it’s something Steve and I really enjoy. We usually go through the neighbourhood, treading carefully across the slippery snow and ice, but coming home to a hot cup of tea and a cuddle is what I look forward to most.
I found a great listing of blended tea recipes on Straight from the Farm. This chef grew her own herbs and flowers for these blends, and then made them for gifts, and to sell. Her favourite was Floral Fantasy Tea with lavender, chamomile, yarrow (a N. American native flower) and stevia. I can imagine that it is extremely fragrant but tastes gentle. I am also guessing you could reduce or eliminate the stevia, if you don’t like sweetened herbal tea.
Sadly, until this cold clears up, I’m on honey and lemon. No tea for me.
