Best and Worst Fish
»The very best fish we had was our first and last meal on our trip. The place was recommended by the consierge at the Cambridge Suites Hotel – Durty Nelly’s at the corner of Sackville on Argyle. It was built in Ireland and shipped to Halifax.
I had the haddock and chips, smoked Nova Scotia salmon with lemon, capers, red onion and brown bread. Steve also tried the Kilkenny battered fish and chips with homemade tartar sauce. It was honestly very good!
The worst fish we had was at Stanely Bridge Resort, PEI. They just opened a new restaurant, Sutherlands Restaurant, the week we were there. We had the lemon pepper haddock – to put it bluntly, it was 90% pepper by volume probably to hide the over-cooked toughness. Absolutely terrible and to make it worse, the only wine on their menue was Naked Grape. Terrible!
