Christmas Celebrations
I am really looking forward to this weekend. Steve and I are cooking a “beer can turkey” for a creamy casserole to serve with buns, and a pot of chill. My uncle is bringing a jumbalya, my sister is bringing a chocolate birthday cake for Jesus, and everyone else is bringing a “random” potluck. There are at least 24 coming from both sides of the family to hang out for the afternoon and dinner – we got a copy of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and a compilation DVD of seasonal kids cartoons. My aunt is also bringing a Beatles Trivia game. It should be fun and relaxing!
The next day, my Mom & Dad are having 19 adults and three children for a formal dinner – I’m bringing some wine and a jar of my homemade cranberry sauce, and any left over baking/desserts. I am really looking forward to it all – not just the food but hanging out and being away from chores and work for a few days!
