Seed Exchange
The seeds of diversity are holding their annual exchange, hosted by Linda Crago from Tree & Twig (a local grower, former client and famous for her tomatoes). Judi and I went last year and have already set it in pen.
Ball’s Falls Conservation Area on Saturday February 12, 2011 for 10-3
There will be speakers, seed exchange, heirloom seed sales and displays. Free coffee, tea and treats and lunch available for purchase. Last time Judi and went, it was a $2 donation at the door that included a package of heirloom seeds. I got beets and Judi got beans. Uber excited to find out what there is this year!
Seedy Saturday is a celebration and sharing of open-pollinated seeds and gardening know-how —“saving our past for our future.”

11:00 Steven Biggs, “Growing Figs and Currants “ (I am really interested in this one. There is a fig grower near me)

13:00 Jen Heaton, “Vermi-composting”
14:00 Master Gardener Wendy Dunnville, “Showing what you’re growing”
