No Pudge Brownies
I decided to try the brownie mix idea again. This time I chose a box of NoName fudge brownies and a can of pumpkin puree (not the pie filling. There is a huge difference in the amount of sugar!).
1 box low fat brownie mix
1 can of pumpkin puree (at least 500mL or 15 fl.oz)
Mix can (2 cups) of pumpkin puree in with the dry and mix well – be patient, it will all mix in. No need to add any other ingredients or liquid. Bake according to directions on the box in a 13 x 9 pan, which was 25 min at 325F. Serves 16 at under 140 calories per serving »
They were soft and chewy but you can taste the pumpkin. If you like pumpkin, they are great. I will make a batch for our Hallowe’en bake-off at the office this year, but I think I prefer them with black bean puree. I’ll be making another batch this week just to be sure 😉
