Nova Scotia wines
We had an opportunity to sample some of the local wines. The Little Fish was even kind enough to return the wines we ordered so we could try something local (our menu didn’t have the insert). I tried L’Acadie Blanc by Domaine de Grand Pré and Steve had something red that he didn’t like. Unfortunately, we don’t remember what it was.
At the brewers market, in the old cellars, were all the Nova Scotia wineries offering samples. We picked up Apple Wine by Sainte-Famille – their Maple Wine was much too sweet for our taste. We also brought home a 2006 Côte de Bras d’Or Marechal Foch by Jost and High Bank Red by Rossignol from PEI that comes in a fish-shaped bottle … saving it for later this summer.
