Closed for renovations?!
I am really looking forward to visiting the market again soon!
While poking around online to find out when the markets open again, I discovered that the Hamilton Farmer’s Market is undergoing a massive $5.1MM renovation that should take 18 months, starting in April. The market will be closed from Sunday April 12 until Thursday April 23rd, 2009 and reopen April 23rd at the new location in Jackson Square, just down from Dollorama. They will continue to offer one free hour of parking at the York Blvd Parkade – visit the Market Office to validate your parking ticket. It’s open from 7am to 6pm but closed on Mondays, Wednesdays, Sundays and all statutory holidays. Find out more info at http://www.hamilton.ca/foodforthought
I used to live by the Burlington Mall and the Lion’s Club market there had a vendor that sold delicious purple peppers. They taste like green peppers but are much more attractive on veggies trays when you have guests. It is held in the parking lot near Zellers and here are the hours and directions »
