I have a shelf of cook books, another shelf of cooking magazines, I subscribe to several cooking blogs, I even have a Gmail label for recipes! Yet with all these resources, I end up making the same meals over and over again. Why? Because I know them by heart, I know they taste good and I know Steve will eat them (well okay, he always eats what I make because he loves me and is thankful that I cooked and hates to waste food but sometimes if it was “experimental” and tastes fowl he eats it with a grimace and I feel badly).
After Dana spent a lot of time researching a method to index my recipes online (which became a necessity when I had to look for a low-fat zucchini bread recipe I remembered reading in a magazine somewhere), we settled on a WordPress blog format. It’s easy to post, has a great search and very useful indexing (although you will soon notice that’s it’s not my forte to remember the categories tick-box, hence the temporary “forgot to categorize” category you may see pop-up periodically).
I try to keep my recipes low-fat and health-conscious, though I do love a good dessert … I welcome anything you can send along. The only pre-requisite is that it’s tried, tested and delicious!
