SparkCoach
I have been a long time participant of SparkPeople, as many of you know. I use it to keep track of what I eat and my fitness activities. When I am faithfully using it every day, it has the same benefits of journaling. You can look back at your progress or plan ahead for indulgences during the week.
Since my knee injury, I have felt … derailed, discouraged, and so on. With the basement in renovations, rooms upstairs are full of stuff and my home gym has been dismantled. I’ve been actively taking Pilate’s classes on Monday nights and am now attending a Fusion Flow (Pilates-Yoga) class at the YMCA on Saturdays. I also periodically train with Kim from Vitality Source Fitness and was Nordic Pole walking in the warmer weather. I’ve still put on 10 lb since the Spring and I desperately miss running.
This week, I signed up for a free trial of the new SparkCoach. This is their pitch:
- A specific, sequential list of activities to do each day to reach your goals
- Video-based coaching sessions from our world-class experts
- A revolutionary program 10 years in the making that will help you stick with your program and reach amazing goals
- Check-ins that provide personalized tips to overcome your obstacles and positive feedback on your accomplishments
- Insider tips and tricks for getting the most out of SparkPeople’s tools and community
- Exclusive discounts, challenges and prizes just for SparkCoach subscribers
- The ability to email a real coach and get a personal answer just for you
I figure 10-15 minutes per day to have accountability may be what I need to move forward towards my fitness goals.
