Happy Canada Day!
Happy Canada Day – my BFF is visiting from Nunavut so I won’t be posting much today, but I am taking the lids off to bring something to my sisters. Once I figure it all out, I’ll let you know the recipe so you can enjoy it too.
Last night we headed over to Ribfest in Waterdown, 2nd annual. Last year we voted Boss Hogg’s so we went their for a full rack and half chicken. We also wanted to try two new places – half racks each – Bone Daddy’s and Ribs Royale. The latter were dry but had a strong smoke flavour, which I don’t like. The meat was high quality with long bones, which saved it. The Bone Daddy’s had a high glaze sauce with a bit of kick, but the meat had tiny bones and grizzle. The Boss Hogs are in the freezer to enjoy in a couple weeks.
