Back at the keyboard
So much has happened the past two weeks – it has been filled with all kinds of ups/downs. I left the CPDC to pursue an opportunity at the School of Graduate Studies, McMaster University as Executive Director of Strategic Planning and Administration. Steve also finished the deck and we had both sides of the family down for a BBQ. I also went to Muskoka for a weekend visit at Barb’s cottage to rewrite the Soroptimist DAF by-laws. Sandy brought great wine, which helped a lot.
Sadly, we’ve had a lot of serious illness on both sides of the family – my Dad’s sister, Steve’s Mom and her sister. Hence, writing hasn’t been a priority … in other news, my sister’s having a girl and my Mom is teaching me how to make preserves.
This week on the menu are pictures from my garden (Tomatoes are becoming ripe) and sun-dried tomato pesto on chicken, cold pack pickles and beets, peach jam and chutney. Tomorrow, Dana and I are going for Indian food – stay tuned for details.
