What do you do after a party? Use up the left overs to make chowder: This was my base recipe: Shrimp and Corn Chowder It’s a Jamie Oliver recipe. What would have been great is a splash of white wine in the chowder instead of milk. However, we were drinking beer and it wasn’t worth opening a bottle for this.

  • left over corn and reserved water from boiling
  • left over Italian sausage, finely diced
  • left over zucchini, shredded
  • handful of peas (from the freezer)
  • purchased onion, parma ham, shrimp and potatoes per the recipe
  • fresh celery from the garden for the broth

We made a pot for us and I will can/put up the res plus the left over broth (it was starchy corn water boiled with celery leaves. Ideal for soups).
