Cast Iron seasoning

It came out looking like glass …. absolutely beautiful. I washed the pan with hot soapy water, dried it and then baked it in the oven for 20 min at 350 to fully dry. Once cooled, I covered it in Cristco and laid it on the oven rack. Underneath I laid tin foil to catch all the drippings. I baked it at 350F for one hour and then let it cool in the oven.

The finish honestly looked like glass. It was beautiful … but didn’t make it through our first cooking experience.
