Haven’t posted in a while – was away at a conference eating too much rich food. Packed on a few pounds, no running, blah!

Today we went to Varyn’s birthday party. She turned two on Wednesday. Pooh cake with honey pot. Sweet!!!

On the way home, I saw an interesting sign for revolutionary soil … the company is called Forterra, and they sell worm poo (but they call it castings). From its Toronto facility (actually located in Puslinch on Hwy 6, but I guess investors dont’ care about that. It’s within driving distance lol), Forterra produces commercial quantities of premium worm castings year-round. Love the inginuity of it. They take organic waste, have buckets of worms in a warehouse and bag up the excrement – all year because it’s a bio product.

Turns out, they’re open to the public 9-5 weekdays. Guess where I’m going on my next day off! Yes, that’s right … to buy worm poo and check out how it works on my perennials!
