Brie Cheese

This is my favourite appetizer! So many things you can do with it (yes that means you will see more postings) but this is the most basic:

  • 1 (4 or 8 oz.) round of Brie cheese (it must be uncut with the edible white casing intact)
  • small jar of peach chutney
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Place cheese on oven proof plate (a pie plate works well). Spread top with chutney and sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes, depending on size. Center should feel soft when you push down with a spoon. Serve warm with sliced French bread or crackers. Served with fresh fruit, it makes a nice luncheon.
