The Little Fish

We had amazing dinner at the Little Fish Restaurant and Oyster Bar, which is below the 5 Fisherman in Halifax, NS.

We started with a raw oyster on the half-shell and a baked oyster. The first tasted like salty water and the other was obviously a cheese delivery mechanism 🙂

We also shared the fried calamari, which had a very strong Cajun spice. The bread was served with fish pate: salmon, haddock and mackerel. Delicious!

I ordered the Digby clams that had little chunks of fish with amazing flavour and a garlic mashed potato as the base. I really enjoyed it.

Steve had the seared halibut steak. It was so thick that we couldn’t believe it was fish – the texture was more like chicken. The risotto had baby clams and was great. Lucky for me, Steve shared 🙂
